There’s love in the air in the Middle East these days.
- The Israeli air force cooperates with Jordanians and Egyptians.
- Egypt votes for Israel at the UN.
- King Abdulluh of Jordan underbuses the Temple Mount protesters.
- Israel looks kindly upon the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen.
After almost seven years of the Obama administration’s Middle Eastern foreign policy intitiatives, Israel and its longtime enemies have quietly come to the conclusion that it’s better to hang together, than to hang seperately. Don’t be surprised to see settlement of the Palestinian issue, on terms relatively favourable to Israel and a gradual thaw in relations between it and the Arab world.
